About the Program

The Community Development Program funds and co-delivers practical projects that improve daily life in underserved Nigerian communities, with a focus on clean water, sanitation, and school and public infrastructure. Rather than working from the top down, we partner directly with community development associations, schools, and local authorities so that residents help plan, build, and maintain every project. Funding is provided as project grants combined with technical support, ensuring that what we build together continues to serve the community long after completion.

Project Grants

Direct funding in Nigerian naira for approved community projects, disbursed in stages tied to verified progress and clear reporting.

Technical Partnership

Engineering, planning, and procurement support from our project team to make sure each build meets quality and safety standards.

Long-Term Sustainability

Every project includes a community maintenance plan and local ownership so the benefits last for years, not months.

Clean Water Access

Boreholes, solar-powered pumps, hand-dug wells, and water storage and reticulation systems that give communities reliable, safe drinking water.

School Improvements

Classroom construction and renovation, furniture, roofing repairs, and learning facilities that create safe spaces for children to learn.

Community Infrastructure

Access roads, drainage and erosion control, community health posts, electrification, and shared public facilities prioritised by residents.

Co-funded projects with community associations, cooperatives, and local government that pair PNF grants with local contributions and labour.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility Requirements

Registered community development associations (CDAs), town unions, or cooperative societies operating in Nigeria Public primary and secondary schools, as well as not-for-profit community schools Faith-based and community groups with a clear governance structure and a bank account in the organisation’s name Projects located in underserved rural or peri-urban communities within Nigeria Applicants able to demonstrate genuine community support and a willingness to contribute local labour, land, or counterpart resources Projects with a clear, measurable benefit in clean water, sanitation, education, or local infrastructure

Rolling Intake

Rolling intake – applications are accepted year-round and reviewed in quarterly funding cycles.

Applications are reviewed in the order received, and early, complete applications are prioritised.

What You'll Need to Apply

Gather these documents before applying. You’ll upload them directly in the form below.

  • Completed PNF project application form with a summary of the proposed project and its expected beneficiaries

  • Proof of registration (CAC certificate, CDA/town union registration, or letter of recognition from the local government)

  • A letter of support from the community leadership or relevant local authority

  • An itemised project budget in Nigerian naira, including any community or counterpart contributions

  • Evidence of land ownership or a right-of-use agreement for the project site, where applicable

  • Recent photographs of the proposed site and contact details for two community references
